There are two cross-country skiing areas in Leukerbad. On the one hand, there are various trails in the immediate vicinity of Leukerbad with a total length of around 12 km. On the other hand, the Gemmi area at 2,000 m above sea level offers two trails with lengths of 7 km and 10 km. The Gemmi area can be reached by taking the Gemmi cable car from Leukerbad, followed by a ride on the aerial tramway down to Lake Dauben (Daubensee). The Gemmi is ideal for cross-country skiers who want to enjoy their sport in a natural environment.
