Many day visitors possible on weekendsDescription Lermoos – Grubigstein
On a high plateau in the Tiroler Zugspitzarena, at an altitude of 1,000 m, lies the beautiful village of Lermoos with an unobstructed view of the Zugspitze.
From the edge of the village, the six-person gondola Grubigsteinbahn takes you up to the Gschwandtkreuz, where the detachable six-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods, Hochmoos-Express, also ends directly from Lermoos. You can continue further up with the detachable four-seater chairlift Grubigalm or the 10-person gondola Grubig II.
Following the four-seater chairlift, the detachable six-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods, Gamsjet, opens up additional runs below the 2,255 m high Grubigstein. Up here in the almost treeless high-altitude ski area Grubigstein, you can carve your tracks either on beautiful slopes or off-piste in deep powder. The double chairlift Skihütte also takes you back up and ends just below the summit. A detour via the ski route to the Wolfratshauser Hütte is always worthwhile.
The runs down to the valley always go via the Gschwandtkreuz. The family run 8 a, b is a wonderful descent from the very top all the way down to the valley and the gondola. At the Gschwandtkreuz, the runs split, either to the base station of the gondola or to the Hochmoos-Express. The beautiful valley runs are usually easy to ski even with less snow, thanks to excellent snowmaking.
The Lermoos/Grubigstein ski area is also an ideal ski resort for families and beginners. In the valley, there is a practice area with the eight-person gondola Familyjet and conveyor belts. Less experienced skiers can also make their first turns at the Plattensteiglift at the Gschwandtkreuz.
For a break, we recommend the Grubigalm with umbrella bar, the Grubighütte at the summit, or the Wolfratshauser Hütte. For après-ski, you can head to the "Lahme Ente" at the base station of the gondola from early afternoon.
The Biberwier ski area is also part of the Langes Resorts and can be reached in just a few minutes by ski bus or car.
