The Lake Louise ski area is very snow-sure and usually starts the winter season as one of the first ski resorts in Canada. The slopes and runs attract skiers every year until May for spring skiing. Snow cannons are used on the main slopes to ensure a timely start to the season. Lake Louise is also the second highest ski area in Canada.
