The Laber cable car is the last remaining large-cabin double-rope circulating cable car in the world. Its operating principle is unusual. Four individual cabins, each with 11 seats, are pulled by the haul rope over the carrying rope. The distances are arranged so that two cabins always enter the stations at the same time. The cable car then stops there, allowing passengers to get on and off. In the meantime, the other two cabins wait on the line.
