The La Poya ski area near Vallorcine at the end of the Chamonix valley is especially popular with families with children. Drag lifts and rope tows provide access to the slopes for skiing. The winter sports area is located right next to the Le Buet train station on the Mont-Blanc Express line, which connects Martigny in Switzerland via Chamonix with Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.
