Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel – Kaprun

The Kitzsteinhorn is a paradise for advanced skiers. Those who prefer groomed slopes stay at the Maurer lift or enjoy the "Black Mamba," which is up to 63% steep. For powder enthusiasts, the Freeride XXL offering is particularly outstanding: 5 freeride routes close to the lifts are marked X1-X5 and have names (Ice Age, Westside Story, Left Wing, Jump Run, and Pipe Line). There is a modern information system for off-piste skiers with the Freeride Info Base next to the Alpincenter and Freeride Info Points directly at the entry to the routes. Additionally, there is an avalanche search field for training at the Alpincenter. In the Maiskogel ski area, there is another challenging descent.
