On the glacier plateau at the Kitzsteinhorn at an altitude of 2,900 m, there is a groomed and very snow-sure high-altitude cross-country trail up to 1 km long. It is open when the trails in the valley are closed (autumn and spring). In the valley, there is a good network of cross-country trails stretching from Kaprun to Zell am See. A trail starts at the parking lot of the valley station of the MK Maiskogelbahn.
