Access & on-site parking

The Ischgl/Samnaun ski area is located in Austria in the Paznaun Valley (Tyrol) and in Switzerland in the Lower Engadine (Graubünden).

To reach Ischgl, it's about 23 km along the Silvretta federal road through the Paznaun Valley from the Pians/Paznaun/Ischgl exit of the Arlberg expressway. There are three large parking lots and paid underground garages in Ischgl, all located near the lifts. In summer 2015, the Parking Lounge was also built in Ischgl. The cable car company provides around 150 paid parking spaces for day guests in the Parking Lounge. The parking garage is directly connected to the valley station of the 3-S Pardatschgratbahn by a 150-meter-long tunnel. From there, escalators take you directly to the cable car entrance. As part of the Parking Lounge, a new ski bus terminal was also built.

To reach Samnaun, take the A12 Inntal motorway, exit at Reschen (Oberinntal junction), and drive almost 50 kilometers to the free parking lot at the double-decker cable car in Samnaun-Ravaisch. The road winds steeply up the mountain for the last few kilometers to Samnaun. In case of snowfall, it is essential to have snow chains in the car.

Winter Closure

The Paznaun Valley is a dead end in winter. The connection to Montafon via the Silvretta High Alpine Road is not possible in winter. It is also not possible to drive from Ischgl to Samnaun. You always have to go via Landeck. It's just under 80 kilometers by car.
