Ski resort Hungerberg

!!! The ski area was closed in 2009 !!! A project called "AusSicht Hungerberg" was launched in hopes of possibly reopening with a new gondola lift. The Hungerberg ski area is located above the village of Oberwald. Deep in the Goms, the upper valley section of Upper Valais between the source of the Rhône and Grengiols, a double chairlift used to take winter sports enthusiasts up to the 1,780-meter-high Hungerberg. The ski lifts then carried winter sports enthusiasts up to 2,080 meters.
