Starting from the winter season 2019/20, the new 10-seater Gabühel gondola lift improves the connection from Dienten up to Gabühel. It replaces the aging Gabühel 2-seater chairlift. The route of the new Gabühelbahn is longer, and both the mountain and valley stations are newly and better positioned.
The valley station of the new Gabühelbahn is located next to the Dienten ski center, now to the east of the main road. This eliminates oncoming traffic on the ski bridge. The mountain station is also in a new location, now situated next to the Steinbockalm. The 10-seater gondola lift with its new route was constructed over two summers.
