The Gitschberg-Jochtal connecting lift (Schillingbahn and Gaisjochbahn) has linked the two ski areas Gitschberg and Jochtal since the winter of 2011/2012. For a monocable gondola lift, it boasts an impressive span of 540 m and a ground clearance of 93 m, offering views into the romantic Altfasstal. Modern gondola lifts depart from the villages of Meransen and Vals, providing access to attractive slopes. On the Gitschberg, the modern 10-seater gondola lift Ski Express serves slopes of all difficulty levels. A four-seater chairlift leads to the summit of Gitschberg. In Jochtal, two fast six-seater chairlifts with weather protection hoods transport guests. In the villages of Vals and Meransen, village lifts are available for beginners and to connect to accommodations. The Mühlbach-Meransen aerial tramway brings skiers staying in Mühlbach to Meransen. However, from the mountain station, it is a short walk to the Brunner ski lift.
