The "country intersection, Ore Mountains" connects the two highest peaks of the mountain range across the border with the most modern cable cars in the world. This is unique throughout the world and symbolizes the bond between the Czech Republic and Germany. This gain in prestige for the Ore Mountains will significantly influence the all-year tourism in the Klinovec-Fichtelberg Region positively and realises the long-term plan to connect the two ski resorts. Both peaks are connected via a low-emission method and the infringement on the natural environment is minimized.

Official opening of the icerink in Oberwiesenthal. The new rink offers a 900 sq.m. big ice skating area located directly at the foot of the Fichtelberg. A skate rental and a snack bar are also available on side. Look for to many different events such as an ice disco night.
