  • Plaine-Morte Glacier (Glacier de la Plaine Morte)

The Plaine-Morte Glacier is situated at an altitude of 2,700 m to 2,800 m and, thanks to its wide glacier plain (with hardly any crevasses in the flat area), is excellent for cross-country skiing. The magnificent mountain panorama with the glacier is truly impressive. Access is via the Violettes Express gondola and the Funitel Plain-Morte from Barzettes-Violettes.
