Beginners Catinaccio/Ciampedie – Vigo di Fassa/Pera di Fassa
Beginners will find an ideal practice area in Ciampedie. Ciampedie is the heart of the ski area and a natural terrace at 2,000 meters. The view of the Rosengarten with the Vajolet Towers and the surrounding Dolomites is magnificent. Ciampedie is easily accessible by cable car from Vigo di Fassa or via three chairlifts from Pera di Fassa.
Beginners can practice on the magic carpet, in the ski school area, or at the Campo Scuola Ciampedie chairlift. The chairlift serves a very easy slope. Advanced beginners can ski from Ciampedie down to the valley to Pera di Fassa on easy slopes. The highest point in the ski area, Pra Martin, also offers an easy descent. Only the valley run to Vigo di Fassa is of intermediate difficulty, very long, and therefore not suitable for beginners.
