Obere Karbahn I (YOC 2019)

The Obere Karbahn I is part of a major modernization project in Berwang. The 10-seater gondola lift connects, together with the second section Obere Karbahn II, the Egghof parking lot via a mid-station with the mountain station of the Thanellerkarlift.

The Obere Karbahn I replaces the Biliglift on a modified route. The valley station of the 10-seater gondola is located next to the new multipurpose building at the Egghof parking lot. This building houses indoor ticket offices for the Berwang cable cars and sanitary facilities including a baby changing room, a sports shop with ski rental and depot, the office and the children's catering room of the Berwang ski school, as well as additional offices. Other components of the modernization, in addition to the second section Obere Karbahn II, include the new 6-seater chairlift Thanellerbahn, the development of a new slope, and an expansion of the snowmaking system.

The mid-station of the Obere Karbahn and the mountain station of Section I will be the site of a new mountain restaurant. From there, the Obere Karbahn II continues to the mountain station of the Thanellerkarlift.
