Description Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek Village, with its fine hotels and restaurants, is the heart of the ski area. The detachable quad chairlifts Centennial Express and Cinch Express take you from 2,469m via the mid-station Spruce Saddle Lodge up to the summit at 3,488m. Over a thousand vertical meters now lie ahead, with beautiful wide forest runs of all difficulty levels leading back down to Beaver Creek Village. A detour to the Rose Bowl is definitely worthwhile, as you’ll find, among other things, mogul runs and the Stone Creek Chutes (steep forest descents). The Rose Bowl Express quad chairlift and then the Drink of Water double chairlift take you back up to the summit.

Other runs lead over to Red Tail Camp, from where the detachable quad chairlift Birds of Prey heads back toward the summit. From there, you can also take the detachable quad chairlifts up to Grouse Mountain (3,258m) and Larkspur Bowl (3,161m). On Grouse Mountain, you’ll find fantastic mogul runs, and between Birds of Prey, Grouse Mountain, and Larkspur Bowl are the challenging runs known as The Talons, which will thrill any expert skier. From Larkspur Bowl, you can take the easy Primrose run, past the Strawberry Park Express, coming from Beaver Creek Village, over to Bachelor Gulch Mountain and Arrowhead Mountain.

The Arrowhead Mountain ski area was its own ski area since 1988 and was connected to Beaver Creek’s ski area in 1996 by the new Bachelor Gulch Express. The Arrowhead Bahn Express mainly serves easy to intermediate runs on the lightly wooded mountain. Here, you’ll find countless options for skiing down to Arrowhead Village (2,255m). It’s the perfect mountain for pleasure skiers and families. From Arrowhead Mountain (2,774m), several easy runs lead down to Bachelor Gulch (2,469m), and the detachable quad chairlift Bachelor Gulch Express takes you up to 2,914m. The two detachable quad chairlifts Lower and Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express bring winter sports enthusiasts from Beaver Creek Landing, the parking lots, and Riverfront Village into the ski area, and at the mid-station, which is located just above Bachelor Gulch, you can take the Upper Beaver Creek Express up to Strawberry Park. From there, you can ski down wide runs along the Strawberry Park Express to Beaver Creek Village. A conveyor belt helps you cross the street in the village. Alternatively, you can enter Larkspur Bowl and take the Birds of Prey Express back toward the summit. The entire Beaver Creek area offers runs of all difficulty levels on beautifully groomed slopes, mogul runs, and through forests—there’s something for everyone. Culinary delights are also plentiful, with well-maintained restaurants available at the base stations in Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead Village, and you can also dine on the mountain at Spruce Saddle Lodge and Red Tail Camp with its umbrella bar.

For beginners, there are several gentle slopes at the summit and also the very easy Cinch run back to Beaver Creek Village, where the Highlands double chairlift and the Buckaroo Express eight-person gondola are still running. There are also several conveyor belts where the youngest can playfully learn winter sports, such as in Beaver Creek Village or Bachelor Gulch. In short, Beaver Creek is an ideal ski area for everyone from beginners to experts.
