The large ski circuit starts in the towns of Bad Gastein (1,002 m) and Bad Hofgastein (857 m). From Bad Gastein, the lifts take you up to the Stubnerkogel (2,251 m), and from Bad Hofgastein to the Schlossalm (2,050 m). The Angertal ski center (1,175 m) is the hub between Stubnerkogel and Schlossalm, connecting the two mountains with several lifts. Angertal is a side valley of the Gastein Valley and is well known for its large beginner and children's area with its own spacious parking lot. The highest point is the Hohe Scharte (2,300 m). The ski circuit is the largest ski area in the Gastein Valley.
