Beginners Arber
For beginners, the ski resort at Großer Arber offers excellent learning conditions. The ski instruction concept follows a clear principle: from right to left, the slopes become increasingly challenging.
On the far right at Thurnhofhang in ArBär-Kinderland, newcomers start out on four modern conveyor lifts. The spacious area is ideal for those first turns and offers numerous easy, varied runs—perfect for beginners and children.
The next step for ski students is to move on to the easy slopes at the Thurnhof drag lifts. After that—further to the left—are the easy Family Run and the slightly steeper Ladies’ Run at the 6-seater Sonnenhang chairlift. Here, you’ll also find the Sonnenhang run, the first intermediate slope.
On the left side of the ski area, the level of difficulty increases steadily—all the way up to the challenging World Cup Run at the gondola lift. This way, winter sports enthusiasts can develop their skills step by step.
