Skiing Zermatt-Cervinia

The village of Zermatt accommodates 5’600 residents and lies at an altitude of 1’620 metres above sea level. It is surrounded by a total of 38 peaks that are all higher than 4’000 metres. All year round, mountain enthusiasts and nature lovers from all over the world come to enjoy the refreshing qualities of this car-free holiday environment. Zermatt’s flora and fauna create a fantastic natural paradise. The Matterhorn ski paradise is not just the highest skiing area in the Alps. It also offers some of the best facilities in the world and enables exciting sporting adventures in the globe’s steepest destination – 365 days a year. In winter, Zermatt, Cervinia and Valtournenche thrill visitors with 350 km of ideally prepared ski slopes. The winter ambience is quite simply unique! But skiing in summer is just as exhilarating in the Alps largest and highest summer-ski-region.
