The Winklmoosalm ski resort offers only easy runs. However, on the Steinplatte, there are slopes of all difficulty levels waiting for winter sports fans.

Thanks to the new, modern 8 person Seegatterl gondola lift, you can access the Winklmoosalm comfortably and quickly from the German side. Waiting times and the bus ride are part of the past. You can also access the Steinplatte ski resort on the Austrian side using two other lifts . The only deterrent here is that you must take a t-bar for the connection. The most modern chair lifts transport winter sports fans in the Steinplatte ski resort. Guests coming up from Waidring take a modern gondola lift up to the ski resort.

The slope preparation is excellent.
They put a lot of effort into optimally grooming even the flat sections.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The ski resort is about 30 km away from the Munich-Salzburg A8 Autobahn (expressway) and offers sufficient parking at the valley stations. Thanks to the new, modern 8 person Seegatterl gondola lift, the bus ride from Seegatterl to the Winklmoosalm is a thing of the past.

The slopes are sign-posted well and it is easy to find your way. The sign-postings to the Steinplatte (Austria) and to the Winklmoosalm (Germany) are very clear and easy to see. Large information boards at different locations make orientation easy.
Cleanliness is a high priority for the ski resort. For example, the restrooms and the gondolas are always very clean.

If you will be skiing down to Seegatterl or to the Kammerkoer parking lot, you can enjoy the sundown at one of the mountain restaurants.

Children who are just beginning to ski or snowboard will feel very comfortable on the Winklmoosalm. There are many easy and wide runs there and they can use the rope tow, t-bar or chair lift. There are also a lot of easy runs on the Steinplatte as well as steeper slopes.

Winklmoosalm is the perfect beginner's ski resort. Flat and wide slopes make the introduction to this wonderful winter sport easier. The lift options include a rope tow, t-bar or chair lift. There is even a cheaper ski pass which only includes the Winklmoosalm side. The valley run to Seegatterl is manageable for beginners. On the Steinplatte side, the majority of the resort is also well-suited for beginners.
