Total result: 3.6 out of 5 stars

It’s just a 30 km trip from Lillehammer, to reach the ski resort Gausdal-Skei. Starting at the Hotel Gausdal Høifjellshotell, a high speed eight person chair with bubbles brings you into the ski resort and up to the peak Skei at 1123m. There is a medium run to the quad Skeiheisen, that will bring you to nice runs. From here you can run the flat way to two further t-bars, starting at the other side of the mountain. A very steep mogul run is placed alongside of these lifts, but if you’re not an expert you can also run down an intermediate slope; both slopes lead you to the base station of these lifts. There are 3 J-bars in the valley, serving easy slopes, an ideal area for beginners. Moreover you reach two more t-bars after a run down on two easy slopes and using the J-bar Eivind. One of those, the curve lift Vinkelheisen, serves another expert run/advanded slope and two intermediate slopes, that lead you to the T-bar Galteneisen. The curve lift ends at approximately the same elevation as the eight person chair, but in about 500 meters distance to them, and after after several meters of sliding, you reach the valley run to Gausdal. Easy and intermediate slopes are around the T-bar Galteneisen, and to return to Gausdal, you have to use the J-bar Petter-heissen, a easy run to the T-bar Torborn-heisen and finally this t-bar itself to get to the triple chair, your starting point. After skiing you can join après ski parties at the Vikingland, but unfortunately you have to pay 55.00 NOK (6.85Euro) for one beer.
