The ski resort of Sierra at Tahoe is located directly at Highway 50, around 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, close to Echo Summit. Lots of parking is available right next to the base station. You can generally park free of charge, but if you want to park right next to the lift you need to pay extra. Winter equipment is essential if fresh snow has fallen.
