The high altitude ski resort on the Grubigstein is very snow secure. The valley runs are also usually open. The ski resort does have snow-making capability on the main runs from the peak down to the valley.

The slope preparation is excellent.
Even when the resort is full, the slopes are still in perfect condition until the late afternoon.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

It is easy to find your way in the ski resort. Information signs are found at all important points in the resort. There are sufficient trail map information boards throughout the ski resort.

The personnel is consistently friendly. There are information boards at the stations with the names of the employees who are working there that day.
There are four restaurants providing refreshments in the ski resort. There are also places to get snacks at the valley stations. In the village of Lermoos, there are additional restaurants.

The Wolfratshauser Huette is a modern and friendly Alpine Club hut with very good and well-chosen dishes and drinks. The view of the Zugspitze is worth the trip to the hut.

At the valley station of the Grubigstein lifts, the best Après Ski in the region can be found at the Entenschirm and afterwards in the Lahmen Ente. Up in the ski resort, you can also begin your Après Ski in the afternoon at the Grubigalm and the Brettalm.
