Zermatt is situated at 1,620 m and offers a wide range of accommodations, from simple guesthouses to 5-star hotels. This car-free village in the Valais region uses electric ski buses to transport guests to the ski lifts. Within the ski area, you can stay at the Hotel Riffelhaus, Ganegghütte, Kulmhotel Gornergrat, Riffelalp Resort (Europe’s highest 5-star hotel at 2,222 m), Hotel Silvana, or Hotel Schwarzsee. For a truly romantic experience, you can spend the night at the Iglu-Dorf Zermatt below the Gornergrat.
Breuil-Cervinia is located at 2,050 m and is part of the municipality of Valtournenche in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. Many accommodations are located directly on the slopes. There is a full range of options, from simple lodgings to 5-star hotels. Within the municipality of Valtournenche, there are additional accommodations, some of which are also directly on the slopes.

Iglu-Dorf Zermatt

At the Iglu-Dorf Zermatt, you can spend a romantic night in an igloo. In the evening, there is a cheese fondue, followed by a soak in the warm whirlpool with an open view of the Matterhorn. In the morning, a hearty breakfast is served, and then you can head straight to the slopes.
