The ski resort of Wildhaus is very concerned about the environment. Large flora and fauna protection areas have been set up and public transport is promoted. Nature is an important consideration in any new slope and lift projects.

• No direct train connection
  The nearest train station is 15 kilometres away in Nesslau-Neu St. Johann. Buchs train station in the Rhine Valley is 16 kilometres away. Buses transport visitors to the ski resort at Wildhaus from both train stations. It is possible to purchase combined train ticket and ski pass deals.

• There is a free local bus in Wildhaus, as well as the PostAuto bus between Wildhaus, Unterwasser and Alt St. Johann. Scheduled buses from the Rhine Valley are free of charge for passengers with ski equipment.
