Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Vogel – Bohinj

The ski resort of Vogel is located in the Triglav National Park, which is the only national park in Slovenia. You can enjoy the beautiful natural environment above Lake Bohinj. The resort’s location in the national park means that strict rules apply for skiing and the ski resort implements these consistently. For example, artificial snow is used only in exceptional cases. The water required for this is taken from a specially created basin. The ski huts serve regional produce. All waste is sorted and taken down to the valley where it is then disposed of appropriately. The community of Bohinj is a member of Alpine Pearls and offers gentle tourism in the Alps. The entire valley is linked by ski buses and the Bohinj Ski Train from Ljubljana offers attractive package deals to encourage visitors to leave the car.
