The Vitosha Mountains regularly receive plenty of natural snow. The snow at the top of the Aleko ski area lasts for a long time, while it can already be green down in the valley in Sofia. The intermediate slope Laleto 1, which is also open for night skiing, is fully covered with artificial snow. Otherwise, only certain sections are covered with artificial snow.
