Description Sun Peaks

Directly from Sun Peaks Village, two quad chairlifts, Sundance Express and Sunburst Express, depart. The detachable quad chairlift Sundance Express takes you up to Sundance Mountain at an elevation of 1,730 m. From the top, you can choose a difficult run (Peak A Boo), several intermediate runs, and two easy runs (Homesteader, Rambler) through forest clearings back down to Sun Peaks.

Via the Mt. Morrisey Connector, you reach the detachable quad chairlift Mt. Morrisey Express. On this ski trail, you need to keep up your speed, as the last section is very flat.

If you take the Sunburst Express, a detachable quad chairlift with weather covers, you arrive at the Sunburst Lodge (1,855 m) and can then cruise over easy slopes to the Crystal triple chairlift. This lift takes you even higher than the Sunburst Express.

From the top, you have several steep runs through the Crystal Bowl or back down to the top station of the Sunburst Express to choose from. The intermediate to difficult runs continue further down to the base station or over to the base station of the Burfield quad chairlift. This somewhat slower quad chairlift takes about 25 minutes to reach the highest point at 2,080 m.

From here, you can reach almost every point in the ski area (except the runs on Mt. Morrisey) and you have a wide selection of runs, from very easy (5 Mile) to very difficult, all the way down to the valley. You can also swing over to the West Bowl drag lift, which accesses intermediate runs on almost treeless slopes. This very slow and old drag lift is only open on weekends and in good weather.

From Sun Peaks Village, you can also take the Morrisey Platter lift to the detachable quad chairlift Mt. Morrisey Express, and at Mt. Morrisey you’ll find numerous runs, from easy to difficult, through forest clearings and also gladed runs.

To get back to Mt. Tod, you can either take the Back in Time run, cross the road, and ride the Burfield Quad chairlift up to Mt. Tod. Another option is to use the ski bridge directly back into the village to the lifts.

For beginners, there are platter lifts and magic carpets in the valley. After skiing and snowboarding, you can enjoy après-ski in one of the charming bars or relax in the outdoor whirlpool.
