New connecting lift

The new Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway began operating at the end of 2017. Arriving at and departing from Stoos will become much easier, especially for day visitors, as the new railway takes them directly to the Sternegg ski lift and right into the center of the village of Stoos. Since the number of people in the area between Restaurant Sternegg and Hotel Klingenstock will increase, a new connecting lift has been built.

News in the hotel and restaurant industry

This coming winter, the newly built Stoos Hüttä will open its doors. The attractive mountain hotel is located in the heart of the ski, hiking, and biking area, right next to the mountain station of the Sternegg ski lift. Ten diverse and functional rooms, designed to accommodate up to 45 guests, can host between two and a maximum of seven people. The rooms are characterized by natural materials made from local wood.

Free cross-country ski trails

Starting from the 2015/2016 winter season, the cross-country ski trails on the Stoos are free of charge. The small yet charming cross-country offering on the Stoos includes two trails with a total length of over 15 km in an enchanting winter landscape. The cross-country trails are groomed for both classic and skating styles. Both start at 1,300 meters above sea level, which means they are usually above the fog line in the sunshine and have reliable snow conditions.
