Splügen is located in the Viamala Region of Grisons. The lifts are right next to the Swiss Autobahn 13. The A13 is an important north-south connection between St. Margrethen/Chur and Bellinzona/Lugano. Near Splügen, the A13 has two lanes (otherwise, it has 4 lanes). When coming from Bellinzona/Lugano, you will pass through the San Bernardino Tunnel shortly before Splügen. You do not have to pay a toll for the tunnel, only for the Swiss Autobahn vignette. Parking is free of charge.
