Description Spitzingsee-Tegernsee

From Schliersee, the Spitzingstraße leads up to the 1,127 m high Spitzingsattel. Up here, you have to decide whether to turn right along the Spitzingsee to the Kurvenlift or go through the village to the Stümpflingbahn. From Tegernsee (Rottach Egern), you can take a narrow and partly steep toll road to the valley station of the Suttenbahn and enter the ski area from there.

If you drive through the village of Spitzingsee, you will reach the Stümpflingbahn, and after a short ride, you will arrive at the top of the Stümpfling (1,484 m). This is also the mountain station of the Suttenbahn, which provides access to the ski area from the Tegernsee valley. The Jagahütt'n invites you to stop for refreshments at the top. A beautiful 3.2 km long intermediate run leads down to the Suttenbahn. From the Stümpfling, you can take the double chairlift up to the Roßkopf (1,580 m). From there, a difficult slope leads to the Valepperalmlift and a very difficult slope to the valley station of the Roßkopf double chairlift.

From the Stümpfling, you can also use the Osthanglift to switch over to the Firstalmen. Here, another drag lift operates on very snow-sure slopes. The terrain is especially suitable for ski races, and you will also find the Snowpark Spitzingsee here. Along the Dreitannenlift, an easy run through the forest leads over to the Kurvenlift, which then brings you back to the runs at the Stümpfling. In the valley at the Stümpflingbahn, there are two more beginner lifts for practicing: the Lyra- and Valepperalmlift.

Thanks to the two modern detachable four-seater chairlifts with weather protection hoods, the ski area at Spitzingsee has become significantly more attractive.
