Description Ski Dubai – Mall of the Emirates

The 85-meter-high indoor ski hall is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, not far from Jumeirah Beach. In front of the ski hall stands the 5-star Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, which also offers ski chalets—with a view of the slope, of course.

From the hotel and the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping centers in Dubai, you can go directly into the Ski Dubai indoor ski hall. The ski hall is the first of its kind in the Middle East. You can also watch the hustle and bustle on the slopes from the hotel’s restaurants. Everything you need is provided, from skis or snowboards, poles, boots, and ski suits. Hats and gloves can be purchased on site, or you can simply bring your own.

Inside the ski hall, a four-seater chairlift takes you up to the slopes via a mid-station with a curve. The upper part of the slopes is more challenging, so beginners can also get off the chairlift at the mid-station. Here, there is a cozy hut called the Avalanche Café. The slope on the right when viewed from above (Black Run) is the most difficult and the steepest descent in an indoor ski hall. The Mall of the Emirates platter lift also takes you from the valley area on the left side of the hall up to the slopes. From the mid-station down to the valley, the slopes are very easy and up to 80 meters wide. At the base station, there are several conveyor belts, making the beginner areas easily accessible. Another highlight is the Snow Park located directly in the lower part of the hall, where you can slide, play, and go tobogganing. Fly Ski Dubai is also very popular, where anyone can take a ride up and down on the chairlift to get a feel for the ski hall. New are the Snow Penguins—real penguins in the ski hall. You can book special tours here and even feed and touch the animals.

There is a wide range of culinary options, and you can enjoy views of the slopes from many of the Kempinski Hotel’s restaurants. The temperature is maintained at -2 to -4 degrees Celsius, so you should really dress warmly, as temperature differences of over 50 degrees between inside and outside are not uncommon here.

7,000 free parking spaces are available for guests at the ski hall, and the Dubai Metro also stops directly at the ski hall.
