Environmental protection of the ski resort SilverStar

The SilverStar Mountain Resort ski area follows all guidelines regarding environmental friendliness and sustainability as set by the provinces. Through the Play-Forever commitment, POWDR invests holistically in ecological sustainability projects (energy, waste, ecosystems). There is no artificial snowmaking, and the slopes are only opened when there is sufficient natural snow. The ski area uses 100% hydroelectric power from the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro).
