The Aktivzentrum Bodenmais at Bretterschachten is considered one of the most snow-sure cross-country skiing areas in Central Europe. It has been recognized for its excellent trail grooming and as the most snow-sure cross-country ski trails in Germany.
Every day, a network of 106 km of classic trails and 102 km of skating trails is prepared for cross-country skiers by the communities of Bodenmais and Arnbruck.
