A unique mountain running and ski touring race from Bolzano to the Rittner Horn.
On Saturday, 7 March 2026, the 7th edition of the Horn Attacke will take place – a spectacular duathlon that combines running and ski mountaineering on the Rittner high plateau.
In just a few years, the Horn Attacke has established itself as a fixture in the Italian and international mountain sports calendar. The legendary Horn Attacke route is as challenging as it is impressive: over 20 kilometres, participants cover 2,000 metres of elevation gain, divided into a running section and a ski touring section.
The start is in the middle of the provincial capital of Bolzano. From there, the route follows hiking trail no. 6 to Soprabolzano and on to Pemmeren, where the transition area is located. Here, the athletes change from running shoes to touring skis and tackle the last 7 kilometres to the finish line at the Rittner Horn (2,260 m).
