Environmental protection of the ski resort Perisher
Environmental protection plays a very important role in the Perisher ski resort. The winter sports area is located in Kosciuszko National Park. Perisher works together with the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service to protect the native flora and fauna. The resort partially uses renewable energy to operate its facilities and has introduced recycling programs. However, some older facilities are still powered by diesel engines.
