Cross-country trails at the ski resort Parsenn (Davos Klosters)

  • Cross-country trail offering
    Total trail length: 132 km

The cross-country trails around Davos and Klosters are snow-sure and idyllically situated in the landscape. The trails start directly in the village and lead into the quiet side valleys. The cross-country skiing season in Switzerland is opened annually in Davos.
Around 4,000 cubic meters of snow are stored every year under a layer of wood chips. With this snow preserved over the summer, a 1.4 km long track is prepared as early as the end of October, allowing Dario Cologna and amateur skiers to open the cross-country skiing season on snow. The Snowfarming project was developed in 2009 by the technical services of the municipality of Davos together with the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF. Since then, technical snow has been preserved over the summer in coordination with the Swiss Ski national cross-country performance center.
