The ski resort of Ounasvaara has slopes of all difficulty levels that lead down to the valley through forest glades. The two areas of Ounashissit and Tottohissi are linked by cat tracks. Floodlights are fitted on most of the slopes as the extremely northerly location means the winter months are very dark.
