No lifts with weather protection covers, no accommodations directly at the ski area, no cross-country trailsDescription Ordino Arcalís
In the farthest corner of Andorra lies the Arcalís ski area in the municipality of Ordino. You can drive up to almost 2,000 meters, where there are plenty of free parking spaces available.
The four-seater chairlift L'Abarsetar takes you up to easy to intermediate slopes, which lead back down through open forests. The race track is also located at this lift. The detachable four-seater chairlift La Basera takes you up to 2,552 meters, where slopes of all levels of difficulty are available. The detachable six-seater chairlift La Coma, which comes up from the other side, also ends here. At the six-seater chairlift, you will mostly find wide and easy runs.
Another four-seater chairlift, called Creussans, leads from La Coma up to the highest point in the ski area at 2,640 meters and provides access to a freeride area. You can return to the Arcalis base station at 1,940 meters via a long connecting trail or an intermediate run.
The slopes below the La Basera chairlift are also highly recommended, offering a very varied descent and the opportunity to venture into deep powder snow.
Several restaurants are available for a break in Arcalis, Els Planells, and La Coma. Although Arcalís is the smallest ski area in Andorra, it is in no way inferior to the other areas when it comes to the variety of slopes.
