For skiing and snowboarding, there are 2 km of slopes available. 3 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,900 and 2,380 m.
The small Olymp ski area with easy slopes on the western side of Mount Olympus is operated by the Hellenic Army. This is where the Greek army conducts its winter training and exercises. Civilians are also welcome to ski and snowboard in the Olymp winter sports area. However, foreigners require prior authorization from the General Staff of the Hellenic Army Special Forces.
