The new 6-seater chairlift Untermatt-Stein completes the new lift axis from Misanenga to Stein. It connects to the 4-seater chairlift Misanenga-Untermatt. The new, state-of-the-art lift system is a D-Line from Doppelmayr-Garaventa. As part of the restructuring, the 6-seater chairlift replaces the 3-seater chairlift Kartitscha-Stein and the drag lift Gischniga-Stein.
The 6-seater chairlift Untermatt-Stein is equipped with weather protection covers and comfortable single-design padded seats. The new cable car technology used in the D-Line model also ensures very smooth operation and maximum comfort. The travel time to Stein is also significantly reduced.
The valley station of the new 6-seater chairlift is located slightly east of Untermatt. Thanks to an adjustment of the slopes, it is easily accessible from all sides. The mountain station is situated at approximately summit height. The stations are housed in wooden buildings, so that boarding and exiting are protected from wind and weather.
