Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Mt. Hutt

The Mt. Hutt ski area is a paradise for advanced skiers. Challenging slopes can be found throughout the entire winter sports area. From the Virgin Mile slope, nearly a dozen extremely steep and sometimes perfectly groomed runs branch off. Mt. Hutt also offers fantastic off-piste terrain. The South Face entices with extreme descents, all ending at the base station of the Towers Triple Chair. From the Virgin Mile, you can reach the Rakaia Saddle Chutes. The difficult and ungroomed runs end at the access road to the ski area, and a shuttle bus takes freeriders back to the base station.
