The ski area at Almberg in the Mitterdorf Ski Center in the Bavarian Forest is characterized mainly by easy to intermediate slopes. There is a difficult slope at the Kißlingerlift. In addition, night skiing is offered several times a week at both the Kirchenlift and the Kißlingerlift.

The Kißlingerhang is a FIS-homologated slope. It is also frequently used for training purposes.
