From the towns of Megève and Saint Gervais, various gondola lifts take you up into the ski area. Within the ski area itself, you will mostly find chairlifts and drag lifts. Some older lifts have already been replaced by modern, fast chairlifts. However, you will still need to use some older lifts and long drag lifts if you want to explore the entire ski area. In Megève, you can travel between the lifts by horse-drawn carriage.
