Access & on-site parking
The Marmot Basin ski area is located in the western part of the province of Alberta in Jasper National Park. Jasper can be reached from all directions. Well-developed roads (highways) lead to Jasper from Edmonton (360 km), Lake Louise (230 km), Kamloops (440 km), and Prince George (370 km). From Jasper, you need to take the Icefields Highway No. 93 for about 8 kilometers to the turnoff for the ski area. Then, it's a 13-kilometer drive up to the base station at Caribou Chalet. Here, you can stop in the short-term parking zones to purchase ski passes and rent equipment. Four large parking lots (P1 to P4) are located a bit above the base station along the slopes at the School House Chair triple chairlift. This allows you to park directly next to the slopes. An easy slope runs along the parking lots down to the Caribou Chalet and the lifts. A Jasper National Park pass is mandatory to access the ski area. You can purchase this pass in Jasper or at the checkpoint on the access road to the ski area. If you are checked without a national park pass, you will face hefty fines.Mobility on-site
