Description Markbuchen/Predigtstuhl (St. Englmar)

The St. Englmar ski region consists of four separate ski areas. The nearest and largest ski area to the town is the Markbuchen and Predigtstuhl facilities. Here, 5 drag lifts operate—the two parallel drag lifts Predigtstuhl I, each with a length of 1100m, provide access to the entire slope. Also at the summit at 1024m, the Predigtstuhl II drag lift ends. Wide and easy slopes lead back down to the valley; the main run directly next to the two drag lifts is highly recommended. In the valley, there are two more shorter drag lifts that serve easy slopes—these are called Markbuchen I + II. Unfortunately, you need a separate ski pass for these two lifts, as there is no unified system here. Free parking is available at the valley stations of all lifts.
