The Macesnovc Rateče ski area is located very close to Kranjska Gora. Skiers can enjoy an intermediate slope, which has previously hosted FIS races. For children and beginners, there is now a dedicated lift and practice slope for skiing. The Macesnovc Rateče ski area is complemented by several picturesque cross-country trails that lead all the way to the Planica district. Known primarily as a winter sports destination for ski flying, several world records have already been set in Planica.
