Flims Laax Falera is just over an hour away from Zurich. 70% of the slopes are located above 2000 m above sea level. Laax offers unlimited skiing fun from October to April. In addition, the ski area is characterized by great versatility. On endlessly wide slopes and ski routes, beginners, families, and snowboarders will all find their place. There’s also plenty of variety off the slopes. Whether you’re in the mood for a coffee at the snow bar or want to dine at a gourmet hotspot, you’re sure to find something to suit every taste.
From all locations—Flims, Laax, and Falera—you can access the expansive ski area. From Laax, the Crap Sogn Gion cable car takes you directly up to 2228 m. Here, you’re spoiled for choice as to which slope to carve down, or you can take the Crap Masegn cable car even higher to 2477 m. From there, you can ski down to Fuorcla (2118 m). Here, a six-person gondola takes you back up to the Vorab Glacier. At the top, two drag lifts run up to 3018 m. Snowboarders will also find a fun park up here.
From Vorab, an easy slope leads to the 10-person gondola Sogn Martin-La Siala, which goes up to 2810 m. At La Siala, the 12 km long run "Weisser Schuß" to Flims begins. This magnificent descent first takes you over treeless, wide slopes and later through forest, past Grauberg, the Segnes Hut, and Startgels, all the way to Flims Dorf.
With the 8-person gondola Arena-Express, you can reach Nagens from Flims via Plaun and Scansinas in 18 minutes. From here, you have many options: either to the Vorab Glacier via La Siala, back to Flims, or to Plaun. From Plaun, a six-seater chairlift with weather hoods takes you up to Crap Sogn Gion.
Now you should also try heading to Falera via Curnius. A modern four-seater chairlift brings you back into the ski area and straight up again to Crap Sogn Gion. Or down to Laax? The possibilities are endless. The lifts are so perfectly arranged here that you almost never ski parallel routes. Each lift opens up new slopes and descents.
If you’re hungry, you won’t have to look far, as you’ll keep passing mountain restaurants or small, rustic huts. At the end of an eventful winter sports day, you can enjoy après-ski in Laax and Flims.
