The direct connection to public transportation via the train stations is very positive. All villages in the ski resort (Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp) are car-free (Association of Car-free Swiss Tourism Resorts- GaST). The Swiss Alps' Jungfrau-Aletsch is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and investments are made in environment-oriented education.

Transportation to Brig and Göchenen with the Swiss Federal Railway (SBB): Basel-Bern-Brig, Geneva–Lausanne–Sion–Brig, Zurich–Luzern–Göschenen.
