The ski resort of Grimentz/Zinal is a paradise for experts. It has some extremely difficult slopes and lots of freeride terrain above the treeline. Due to its length and steepness, there are several safety nets along the valley run Aigle number 48b to Zinal. There are also the ski routes Abondance, Pylone 6 and Tsigere.
